Welcome to Crème. After Coco Donuts and just before Bisou, this brunch hotspot, signed by the serial entrepreneur Chloé Sengier, has just undergone a fresh makeover.
As part of this transformation: an interior completely redesigned by Zazie Maquet Studio (Volta, Bisou) featuring green velvet banquettes, lacquered burgundy tables, and a bespoke dessert counter. It’s cozy, warm, and incredibly welcoming, mirroring the vibe of the team and the menu, which includes all the essentials one could expect from a brunch, lunch, or coffee break of this caliber.
During our last visit, we tried the black sesame latte – by the way, someone needs to explain why this hadn’t arrived here sooner -, the chicken tsukuné meatballs with peanut sauce, and the fish tacos (which were chicken, but just as well), served on authentic corn tortillas. Why is this important? Because, apart from Vérigoud or La Général, most places shamely serve wheat crepes as tacos. Anyway, that’s another debate, but the point is that we relished our “real tacos,” served with a delicious pico de gallo and a homemade spicy and smoky sauce that was absolutely divine.
Chloé is also (re)known for her desserts, and even though we were exceptionally well-behaved, we strongly advise you don’t do the same and instead take the time to marvel at the incredible pastries filling her counter before placing your order.
