In an area where gems are still hard to find, the opening of Entre Nous can only mean great news. A few blocks away from Midi station and the very cool Mammouth, Sara opened a little restaurant where guests meet around a big shared table, perfect for a work lunch or for a meal before catching a train.
The place was designed in two distinct areas : the first room hosts the big dining table, where you will meet friends for lunch, and the second is where you’ll queue at the kitchen counter, to order take-out or buy fresh produce from their little shop. Two words clearly define the vision here : good and local. Written on the placemats, you’ll find the list of their providers, local and organic for most of them. If Sara is originated from Naples, most of the providers she has chosen to work with are small farmers from Belgium, with no intermediaries. The recipes however, are directly inspired from the southern region of Italy, where she is from, and are reinvented with local and seasonal ingredients. On the black board, the menu changes daily but the prices and the structure remain the same. A vegetable buffet (11€), from which you can compose your plate or your take-away box yourself, two types of pasta (12€), three sandwiches (5€), a soup (5€), and a daily special (15€). And for each of those, always a vegetarian option. We try the lemon ravioli with whiting ragu, and casarecce pasta with nettle and ricotta. Both a fresh and delicious, and very generously served.
Along with some tap water and two espressos, we’ve got there a charming place for a delicious, sustainable and very affordable lunch!
