We came across this beautiful hotel about two years ago. To be completely honest, it saved our weekend that turned out completely awful when we realized at the Charleroi airport that my ID card had expired…Just imagine how we felt about losing our weekend in Venice! In the end, we keep a great memory of these rainy two days, that we spent mostly inside the room, nestled in our comfortable bed, watching animal documentaries while drinking a bottle of champagne.

So it was pretty obvious for us to think about that hotel last december, when some alone holiday time felt much needed. That’s also what we love at Château de la Poste, the fact that we can enjoy a getaway weekend without leaving the country, and that the hotel itself feels like a whole holiday destination.
We love to wake up in the rooms with high ceilings and a view on the park, the decoration reminding us of a hunting spot with designer fake antlers on the walls, the big fireplace in the living room, that we enjoy with a glass of wine, before heading to dinner in the next room.

The park around the castle offers beautiful walks, from which we can spot the shack up in the tree, or the loftcube, a glass pavilion in the middle of nature, both great to try in the middle of summer! We keep both of them in mind for our next visit.
